NOTE: These videos were authored in 4k for display on 4 separate 10 foot tall screens as part of a Las Vegas trade show display for Upshop 360, an AI tool used to manage entire grocery store chains. The videos were also reformatted and used as promotions on social media. Remote work.

NOTE: This is the third version of this project, using the same basic imagery, but regenerating it with the latest technology to improve the visual quality. The idea is that AI is coming to save us instead of kill us. The original images were generated in 2022 with locally run Stable Diffusion. I have continued to use the original primitive generations as the style reference for the subsequent versions. Creating twin characters whenever the frame has a horizontal aspect ratio was a very common error with the early AI, but I decided to run with it and make it be a motif in the piece.

NOTE: This content was used as the intro and as the background of bumpers for promotional web videos for a mobile/web development company. Remote work.


BURNS AND MCDONNELL video cave content

CLIENT: ASCEND STUDIOS (Orlando)

ROLE: Lead 3d and post artist. AI with Google IMAGEN stills and KLING video, I performed look dev and lighting using REDSHIFT in CINEMA 4D, 3d modeling rigging layout and animation with CINEMA 4D, post with AFTER EFFECTS. Remote work.

NOTE: This is a test render for a project that was rendered in 360° panoramic perspective at 12,000 pixel horizontal resolution split seamlessly between four 4k videos, for display on a fully immersive video cave at the headquarters of Burns & McDonnell, a multi-billion dollar engineering and commercial architecture company with 13,000+ employees.

"THEORY OF EVERYTHING" animated SHORT

CLIENT: PERSONAL PROJECT

ROLE: Director and solo creator. I performed all tasks in this project, including writing and design. I did 3d Modeling, rigging, animation, look dev, lighting and VFX using MAYA. 2D with PHOTOSHOP. Post with AFTER EFFECTS. AI with IMAGEN and KLING.

NOTE: The story is about psychology. This project involves compositing 3-D animation with AI generated video, which as far as I know was a world first in 2024.


overheated TRUCK

CLIENT: PERSONAL PROJECT

ROLE: All production and design tasks using MAYA, PHOTOSHOP, and AFTER EFFECTS. I entirely 3D modeled this truck from scratch. Animated with KLING AI using a MAYA 3D render I made as the start frame.

NOTE: I made this project out of frustration with the character designs in Pixar's “Cars”. In my opinion, the front of a car already forms a face without putting eyes on the window..

NOTE: Trailer for Neon Destruction season 1 AI short action comedy series. The AI Slopera is a new genre which I invented for this project. The narrative embraces the chaos and sloppiness of early AI video generations as a punk rock Lo Fi experiment. Neon destruction was released in 10 weekly episodes in early 2024. Like the original Godzilla intellectual property, it investigates serious questions about society and human nature under the guise of low brow entertainment. The editing and post uses traditional live action/VFX filmmaking techniques.
